Social Skills Training

One of the main features of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)  is impairment of social skills. Social skills include understanding how to adjust behavior in various social settings and situations. Many children and adults with ASD need specialized training to learn about social behaviors and how to engage with family members, friends, and the community.

Parent Training

Parent training sessions are conducted to empower parents with the tools, strategies, and confidence to respond to your child’s actions and reactions. You will learn how to support your child’s learning of daily living tasks, how to decrease challenging behaviors, and increase desired behaviors. Parent training is an essential component of helping your child generalize skills learned in therapy across people and environments.

ADD/ADHD Coaching

The goal of ADD/ADHD Coaching is to give children and adolescents tools to function more effectively in a variety of problematic situations. By targeting 1 to 2 specific behaviors at a time, such as using organizational tools and knowing how and when to ask for help, each session is individualized to meet the client's unique needs. Additionally, there are coaching homework assignments, which are designed to enhance the development of these skills. This allows the client to take ownership of the process by learning new techniques to enable success across social, emotional, and academic areas.
